I will include the steps for recovering the factory content below. However, I would also like to note that if you are running on MPC3 currently this particular issue has been identified as a minor bug, and we have promptly reported this to our development team so that they can address it quickly and effectively.
In the meantime, as a temporary solution, you can still access the factory expansions by going to Menu > Browser > Sounds on your MPC. This will enable you to make use of the expansions while our team continues to investigate and work on resolving the problem with the Sounds page.
Upon doing so, please ensure that the 3 pages icon is selected to view all file types:
If you have selected the 3 pages icon and still cannot see your kits, please downgrade back to MPC 2.15.1 and re install the factory content, once this has been done you should have access to all the factory content via Menu > Browser
In order to apply the factory content, you will need to downgrade back to MPC 2.15 as unfortunately the autorun file required for this process doesn't work on MPC3.
There are two ways to roll back to MPC 2: using a computer or a USB flash drive.
Using a Computer
1. Visit this page and download the appropriate MPC 2 installer (MPC 2.15.1 is the most recent MPC 2 build) for your MPC model and operating system.
2. Connect the MPC directly to your computer using the included USB B > A cable.
3. On your MPC, navigate to Menu > Preferences > Info tab, then select Update > Switch to Update Mode.
4. Open the installer you downloaded in step 1, and select Update MPC.
Using a USB Flash Drive
1. Visit this page and download the USB updater for your MPC model. Ensure your flash drive is formatted as FAT32 or exFAT.
2. Transfer the .img update file to your USB flash drive, then connect it to your MPC.
3. On your MPC, navigate to Menu > Preferences > Info tab, then select Update > USB Drive Update.
Once downgraded you can perform the steps below:
To reinstall the factory content, you can utilize an autorun folder. Follow these steps:

1. Download the .zip file.
2. Unzip the downloaded file.
3. Copy the contents (the entire “autorun” folder) onto either a USB stick or an SD card (exFAT format, with at least 16GB capacity). Ensure this content is placed in the root directory of the removable device; do NOT place it inside a folder.
4. Turn on your MPC and wait for the Demo selection screen to appear. If the project Dialog box doesn't show up after startup, power off the MPC, insert your SD or USB, and power it back on. The MPC will initiate the import automatically, skipping to step 7.
5. Plug in the prepared USB stick or SD card.
6. A popup will appear, prompting if you want to download the contents. Select “YES”.
7. The MPC will reboot to a black screen and commence importing the content. DO NOT POWER OFF THE UNIT during this process.
8. Once the import is complete, the unit will reboot, and the content will be available as normal thereafter.
