Hi, new user here, just got my MPC key 37 and is trying get my head around the OS, and I have ran into an obstacle, or rather 2 obstacles..

Im using a pretty high grade SD card that seems to have no problems streaming from disk so far, even when playing a pretty big Keygroup instrument with 25 key groups, so that's encouraging.

1: When creating a multisample keygroup with lots of samples, I can't find a way load ALL samples of a key group into streaming mode, I have to switch samples from memory to streaming one by one, haven't been able to select ALL samples and move them, Is this user error or is it a deficiency in the handling of this?.

2: If I then do this and after a lot of moving from mem to stream, saves my key group with its now streamed samples to my SD card, when I load the keygroup again, all samples ends up in memory instead of streaming :WTF: .

Is this something that is fixable? I´m very new to this machine so there is a strong possibility that I have overlooked something obvious. :)

All the best,

Akai don't advise streaming keygroups or any small individual samples so to discourage this they make you assign them to stream individually. I can confirm that it's farily easy to choke audio output, even with a fast SSD, in fact there's no performance difference between USB, SD or SSD. YYMV though, it depends how busy your streamed sequences are.

Streaming settings are saved with the project. Perhaps saved with when you save a 'track' file, not sure, but definitely not stored in the XPM.
