Record MIDI Send To in another track / Transpose Drum Track

Can I record midi from 4 tracks to track 5? At this point I know how to send the midi and Track 5 receives it, but when hitting record it doesn't record. Can I achieve that?

And another quick question, can I transpose Dum Tracks, besides those Edit Pad Note Map and select all and transpose in the grid edit view?

trk 1 SEND TO trk 5
trk 2 SEND TO trk 5
trk 3 SEND TO trk 5
trk 4 SEND TO trk 5

Thanks, this is what I am doing as well. I can hear the drum pads playing in trk5 but, but when I hit record, the MIDI notes don't get recorded inside trk 5

The physical midi note playback is in the source track.

Source trks are telling trk5 what notes to play inside of trk5.
Record on the source track and trk5 will play it also.

COPY EVENTS from source to trk5 if you want the notes in the grid in 5. With this you can turn off SEND TO from source to 5 because trk5 will now have it's own physical event data in the grid.

Just thought of something else.

Trk5 would be a "shadow" of source trk. Source is the actual person while shadow trk5 does what the source tells it but the "person" is not physically there (no grid data in trk5 when you look, it's not there).

I use SEND TO alot.

Thanks for the clarification. I did found a way. I have 12empty drum tracks which send midi to trk 13 that has a drum track. All these 12 are sequenced externally as I like elektron sequencer and then recorded inside mpc for tight drums and mpc swing.

I wanted to be able to record each track separately and also to record the whole pattern. Then to be able to save them as mpcpatterns for later recall. either just the kick, clap, or all drums together, but if i set the input on trk13 to in and all channels I can achieve that. the only issue would be to record inside trk13 already recorded midi inside those 12 trks. Then I have to do it with Copy events I guess.
