Hi everyone , i m a new owner of an mpc live2 and beginner in music production as well .
Sorry in advance if the question have already been asked.
I would like to have a external keyboard with a bunch of knobs to control my MPC and the plugins .
Is it possible to use a akai MPK mini+ for example as a keyboard for playing somme lead in Fabric plugged via Midi?
Also , use the knobs of the MPK to control somme Jura faders or knobs ?
Does the AKAI MPK series already have a factory mapping preset for the MPC Live2 ?
In advance many thanks
Fred

Yes, I do it all the time, Moog Subsequent-37 connected usb-B to MPC X usb-A, I control Fabric.
Yes, I do it all the time, Korg Kronos2 connected usb-B to MPC X usb-A, I control MINI-D.

I haven't attempted to control Fabric or MINI-D knobs w/ knobs on the 37.

You can map the knobs of the MIDI controller to the knobs of Instruments, but it’s a bit of a hassle.

By the way after reading a lot on it , i think a Synthesizer can do the job with more preset , standalone possibility and may easier for some sound design . If i have to map anyway (what seem to be brainstorming for a noob like me ) i think i ll gonna put a bit more $ and get a 2 hands minilogue, mini freak, wavestate MKII or something like that with CC knobs and more possibilities .
Does it worth it do you think ? :?: :?:

Why Akai haven't done that ? Shame ;;;; :-D
Thanks again for taking time .
