I'm trying to import a 2.x project into a 3.x project.
In my sequences I tend to create a "base" track that contains a drum pattern I'm going to build the track around and the drum program. In 2.x I would then blow out the base track into multiple tracks so that I could manipulate the kick separate from the snare, etc. Each track referenced the base drum program samples. Worked great, really efficient.
When I import the 2.x project into 3.x there is only one Drum track with my actual drum program and it is the "base" track. That works fine. But the separate kick, snare, etc tracks are now just a MIDI track. They are set to send midi events to the "base" track but this presents some really challenges. What I'm really struggling with is how do I manipulate a drum pad with automation? I don't think I can from a midi track.
Do I have to duplicate tracks and copy and paste events and rebuild the sequence?
