Saving the Sample Page Audio Input

I tend to have my sample audio input always on (Live II). One thing I noticed is that when you save a project with the audio input on, it is saved and will be on when you open the project at a later time. My problem has always been that you can't, or I can't figure out, why I can't do the same with my template project that auto loads on start up.
Am I doing something wrong?

Been trying to figure that out for years on Force. Now I'm kinda conditioned to turn it on at the start of the session, but sometimes I forget & think I'm going crazy for wondering why I can't hear audio.

yeah. you can even save it so that the template project opens on the sampler page. that helps at least

They need to add "keep sampler monitor on" as a preferences option.
