I would like to share this in case someone else comes across the same issue.
I bought a Key 37. Interestingly, the keyboard aftertouch didn't work. I tried it with several versions of the OS, but for God's sake it wouldn't detect keyboard pressure. The aftertouch functions of the pads worked perfectly. In my final desperation, I connected an Arturia Keystep via USB. And Bang, aftertouch was activated on the MPC keyboard as well.
