tuning mpc bassline plug-in

love that plug-in, the bass included in mpc sounds very good to me, but how to tune it? sometimes i have samples that are not tuned 440 or whatever standard so i need to fine tune instruments to match but i cant find a way in this plug in?

nobody needed to ever tune that plug-in? only finetune...

You can change the fine-tuning by auto-sampling the plugin and converting it to a keygroup.
Alternatively, you could adjust the sample to 440 Hz.

yeah just sometimes its nice to have sample that is different tuning, gives a different vibe but i see no options in the plug-in shame its a basic feature of most plugins :/

Insert a pitch bend message into your bass track . Set to the amount of fine tuning adjustment required and extend it across the entire sequence (assumes you wont be using pitch bend in any other capacity).

AIR Pitchshifter is another option, but this will have some impact on the timbre of the bass.

I use Air pitch shifter all the time with baseline. In fact it’s one of my default plugins for new projects

This is where warp can be somewhat helpful. I always test samples when using 16 levels with & without Warp. If I find something I like I make a drum program out it to have more control of each note/pad.

master tune should be on every synth plugin whether or not its part of an accurate emulation or not imho.

yeah i agree master tune should be mandatory, so simple anyway, the pitch bend parameter is a good idea i could try that. i fine tuned my samples -10 on the beat i was working on, barely saw a difference in the timing so it worked for that time. but good suggestions guys

Shouldn't see timing change with pitch scaling. Iirc it re-modulates the signal at a chosen frequency rather than stretching or squishing and dropping or adding frames like with time scaling. If it does, its not a very good pitch shifter lol.
