Sample repitch

I have a sample from tracklib that is 148 bpm/74 bpm but when i tap tempo it is roughly 50 bpm and i am trying to repitch to about 90 bpm but everytime i do it, it sounds too quick like a scooby doo chase scene and i am doing the exact thing i have seen on various videos with the repitch, etc functions. Im a fairly new MPC user so any help is appreciated

If you already know the bpm no need to tap tempo. Just go into sample edit/process/ time stretch. Set the original tempo 74bpm and new to whatever you want, in this case 90

Repitching from 50 to 90 is going to sound scooby do, use the pro ten algorithm instead
