File system errors on MPC SSD?

Apologies if this seems too noob or cowardly, but in certain areas I like to get confirmation.

I've had a couple of failures when copying files to my MPC's SSD from Windows - lockups, whatnot - so I decided to run the Windows error checking tool on the drive. Yup, it says there are errors. What I'm wondering is, is it generally safe to run Windows error repair tools on this drive in a Linux machine? If not, are there better tools?

MPC Live OG, 2.13, SSD formatted with exFAT. Has been fully backed up.

It's probably always going to have errors like that unless it's properly ejected every time, and even then, it's hit or miss. Happens to me all the time at work when I use one of my USB drives on one of our Android devices and then put it back in my PC at my desk. Windows always finds 'errors' and never finds anything wrong when it fixes it, to the point where no one here runs the 'clean up' anymore and just skips it.

Yeah windows 11 does this to me constantly with everything, unmounted and ejected fine. windows must have some way of tagging the drive or something.. it's most annoying.
