still using 2, couple problems i can't figure out

sometimes when i'm in the middle of making a beat and i want to add a sample from hard drive or whatever. The sample will automatically go on the last pad and last program i hit.

how do i stop that?

or other times when I go back to edit another sample, i want to chop end points and discard data outside of start end points but when i hit that screen the option is greyed out along with a few other greyed out options

When a sample pad is green when loading a sample, the sample will be loaded there. Just hit the pad once before loading the sample to deselect it. (I cannot count the number of times I have tripped over this.)

You can also drag and drop samples to pad using the touch screen. you can do multiples this way as well by dragging up to 4 samples to the pads to fill each layer.

Greyed out means you may be in the wrong mode. CHOP / TRIM / PAD are 3 different modes.

This confuses everyone at first & then it makes perfect sense.
