I just purchased a new audio interface today after finding out about a feature called "loopback". Long story short. I have an MPC X and I've been wanting to record/stream myself working on new projects with my MPC X. I want the software I use to record all of my content (OBS) to capture the audio coming out of my MPC X. I was told it's possible but since I had an older Focusrite 2i2 audio interface that didn't have the loopback feature, that I wouldn't be able to do this until I bought an interface that had this feature. Now I have the feature but I still can't find any tutorials on how to set this up.
I want to make a few things regarding my setup and my intentions very clear in order to clear any confusion.
1. I want to use my MPC X in standalone mode. I don't mind connecting it to the PC, or to the audio interface, but I do not want to use the MPC X in controller mode.
2. I want OBS (my video recording software) to be able to capture the audio that comes from my MPC X while at the same time capturing the audio from my microphone. I want there to be no delay or as little delay/buffering as possible.
I have quite a bit of experience recording videos using OBS. I need to know what cables (if any) are required for this to work. I also need to know if a cable is needed, where should the cable plug in exactly on the back of my MPC X and where would the cable plug into on my new Solid Stage Logic SSL12 audio interface? I know where the "loopback source" option is within the SSL360 software, but don't know what option to pick, or how to get the rest of this setup to work properly and can't find any videos on YouTube that help me in any way. Thanks for any help you can provide!
