qlink and external midi control of ticks?

Can either of those have the qlink or external midi controllers mixing faders/sliders or rotary knobs be assigned to the track ticks scroll and a other for selection/deselection by moving in one way or another? Then can you assign another qlink or external midi mixing fader to control gates or trackfaders(crossfade/evade, any type of track fade here)?
