Hi due to sell my mpc one, I would like to give a demonstration when it gets picked up.

Could i do that then quickly deactivate just before exchanging cash ? How would it work with Juro synth also as would like to sell as part of package?

Cheers

Hi, the last time I looked into this, registering the hardware doesn't require anything special. When they register it, it will remove it from you profile. The idea is that they shouldn't have the serial to register unless you gave them the unit. They DO NOT allow you to trade or transfer plugins however. Once you buy those they are yours for ever.

You can give a demonstration of the unit’s operability without it being registered. There are stock sounds and plugins that don’t require registration.

I have contacted InMusic support in the past to have a license of Flavor Pro transferred to another user’s account. The have asked for the user’s account email and it only took a couple of hours for them to transfer the license.
Has this changed?

When I gifted my MPC One to my friend a couple months ago because I got a Key 61, I wanted to give some plugins to him because I didn't want them, they would not allow me to do that. I assumed it was because they want HIM to buy the plugins from them just like I did. Perhaps it depends on what support rep pulls your ticket from the queue... I don't know. I work in IT Support and there are things I'm willing to do for users that my co-worker is not. That's always a possibility....

also in the same boat now that i have my MPC One G2 in hand, planning to give my first gen MPC One to a friend. according to InMusic site, all i should have to do is log out on the old model and reset its preferences. i don't believe i have anything other than factory content saved on the internal drive. should i also deregister it from my InMusic account online?

thanks! i do have an email into customer support but hadn't heard back yet. should i wait until everything is de-registered before starting the whole process of transferring/downloading all my plugins etc. to the G2?
