Hi,
I am new to MPC Key 37 and have two questions.
First, is it possible to send aftertouch from the pads to external gear via midi channels? The keyboard works as expected, but the pads seem to be only sending notes and velocity. However, as per MPC's hardware settings, the pads do record aftertouch as well as velocity.
Second, is there a way to send MMC Forward/Backward commands to my daw (cubase) for scrolling? I manage to send play and stop commands from the MPC after switching on mmc sync, though there are no forward backward buttons. I notice that when I send MMC forward commands from my midi keyboard, the mpc appears to register them (in the midi monitor), but does not respond to them, since the sequencer is apparently not designed for that?
I am trying to use the MPC as a sort of midi-controller and sound module to be integrated with my daw, which also handles a bunch of other devices. I understand the MPC is designed to work as a standalone DAW type of thing, but I want to ideally integrate it into my existing setup based on cubase as one might with elektron overbridge devices.
Thanks a lot for taking time to answer newbie questions, the manual is quite ambiguous about these points.
