For context: Years long MPC user going back to the 1000 running JJ OS so I can say I love the “limitations” of the MPC software and am totally fine with it.
Now that thats out of the way, there’s truly only ONE feature I wish the software had in my Live 2: a fold or filter by events/samples feature to make editing notes on the Grid a little bit easier and less cumbersome.
I tend to create some decent size drum programs using 4 or more banks sometimes—depending on the type of program I’m trying to create—and a fold or filter by events/samples function would make things so much easier especially on the smaller 7in screens on the Live, One, Keys models. I know you can currently do that in the Mixer so I assumed it would be easy to in the Grid but maybe I’m wrong.
I don’t know much about how the new software functions as it pertains to the handling of events behind the scenes and why it might or might not work so if someone with more knowledge could explain that, I’m all ears.
