MPC Live - Edit MIDI in Logic, not the tiny MPC screen

I'm trying to utilize all the great sounds in the MPC Live I have been using, but I find that editing the MIDI on the tiny screen with my fat fingers is just unbearable. Is there a way to edit MIDI in Logic and have it trigger the MPC so I can actually make beats without losing my mind. My thinking is that if my keyboard controller can send the MIDI to the MPC, why can't Logic do this as well? All my Youtube and other searches only show the opposite. Any ideas. Please explain the process like I'm 5. Thanks.
