Save track selection with sequence

Hi,

is there any way to save the track selection with the sequence?

Use case: I have a keyboard connected to my MPC One via usb in and different synths via midi out to different midi channels. I want to play different synths on different tracks over different sequences. For example: while Sequence 1 is running, I want to play an internal Mellotron multisample on Track 8. When I change to Sequence 2 on the "Next Seq" page, I want my keyboard to play the Matrix 1000 synth on Track 10 - without having to switch to the "Main" page, tap the track and change it to Track 10, which is ridiculous for a live situation.
The default state seems to treat the track selection global, no matter what sequence is playing, the track selection stays the same.

Any help or guidance would be appreciated, thank you!

You need a Akai Force with it's clip-matrix. Each of the 128 tracks has 999 clip & you can play any clip across the track. If the clips is in Legato mode, you switch between them in real-time, which is so amazing when jamming. You can quantize clips so it starts on the beat you set or turn the quantize off & have clips play & loop off-beat.

That doesn't seem to be related to my problem. I don't use clips. As described above, I'm looking for a way to set up a different active/selected track for each sequence, so I can play on my connected keyboard for example Track 8 in sequence one and Track 10 in Sequence 2.

Don't worry about active or selected tracks. That's a misconception that a lot of people seem to have. Instead, use the midi settings for each track to do this. I don't know if any of this works in version 3 point whatever, but in 2.13 you can set the input monitoring, MIDI input, and channel for each sequence separately. Yeah, I guess by definition version 3 can't do that. Basically what you want to do is in sequence one, set track one to use your midi input port, while the other tracks are set to none for the midi input, and then for sequence two, activate the midi input for track two, Etc.

Thank you very much! I didn't mess with the midi input settings per track (which I found after a 15 minute! search, hidden beneath a tiny "eye" symbol of about 8x10 pixels in size... ), but you pointed me at the right direction: Selecting "In" instead of "auto" at the otherwise unlabelled button underneath the record symbol in the track area for the desired track and "off" for the others did the trick.
