Maybe the media machine is cranking up for a reveal this thursday? as the the FCC embargo ends next Tuesday, so perhaps they will drop the grand reveal before then.

But this plugin still works on 2.15 or above for standalone so dats good news

Yep, surely there is far more interesting stuff they could release, this is all so lazy. The solution is for them to stop gatekeeping and allow the community to develop plugins for the platform.

MPC-Tutor wrote:Yes, another lofi plugin effect, we definitely need loads more of these, really thinking outside the box now Akai!

And it costs 9 times more than the iOS version. Hooray!

Luckily they are having a once in a lifetime, never to be repeated iconic sale on it!

Akai do like to use dat word Iconic in they marketing, lmao

But to be fair this latest plugin is better than Lo Fly Dirt and Flavour Pro imo

can you expand on this? genuinely curious

meaning the fx in this latest offering seem more creatively useful then other the lofi plugins; also it seems to have the right amount of controls and a fun interface so looks like it would be more fun to use

Arguably these MSX plugins are third party although I'm assuming the actual conversion and development into MPC plugins is entirely performed by AIR (or other inMusic devs). I'm hoping that they eventually open it up so we can build plugins entirely ourselves. I assume there will always be some kind of gatekeeping involved, e.g. an app store, so you submit an app, it's quality checked and if it passes it's then integrated into the ecosystem and made available for purchase through the MPCstore. (pure speculation of course).

The lacks the right of control in that there's only 1 mix level for all 8 sections. Hopefully they will address this limitation in the future with either a update of "new" pro version.

I hope you do a little review. How does the quality compares to the other FX?
