MPC Live 2 - Any hope for further screen-dimming options?

I know it's not likely to get any more FW updates (particularly in 2.x, which I'm staying on for now) but in the event that there is one in the works for some reason, could we possibly be permitted to dim the screen further? I'm finding it too bright at the dimmer setting, and am missing the dimming buttons on the side of my Touch.

The upcoming MPC Live 3 is rumored to come with complimentary sunglasses.
