Samples wouldn’t played

I've had the MPC ONE + for a while now and have at least managed to get a bit of an understanding of its extensive features. But I've noticed something again, but I don't know if it's my fault or if I'm just using the device incorrectly.

I have a lot of short samples, like a kick. It plays perfectly in the sequencer. Sometimes, however, a single step doesn't play. If I move the step in the sequencer, it plays.

Secondly, I use a few longer samples, and I'm having the problem that they don't play completely, but only very briefly. I've read and read about "one shot" and "poly," but I haven't noticed any noticeable difference.

Do you have any tips for me?

Sounds like you have the program set to mono instead of poly. Go to program edit bottom left of the screen

Make sure you've not set any "mute group" to the individual pads and set the whole program to poly rather than per-sample. there are two forms of granularity for that iirc. one for the overall program encompassing every pad in the program or individually on selected pad. press program edit and tap through the pads and have a gander.

I have actually already checked the setting of mono and poly. That's all right so far. Both in the settings for the single pad and Global. But I will check again. I have found that in a bar with 16 steps with 4 selected by me sometimes only 3 are played. If I put the single step forward or backward one step, then it works.

I’m actually at Software 3.5, possibly this problem has fixed ?! Two members at Reddit have reported the same problem.

I've read through it again carefully and even used GPT to get by; the English interface isn't making it any easier. I've actually found a few things that might solve the problem. I've set all affected samples to poly and also noticed that one mute group (you have to know what that is first) was set to mute. You have to find that first. I've now turned it off and also significantly increased the number of poly in the global settings. I read that this number indicates the maximum number of recorded samples; I'll give it a try.
