I was disappointed on getting the MPC that I can't modulate the sample end using pressure, envelope, really anything. So there can be no bouncing ball effect that I can see. Is this right?

I had intended to loop a single drum sample and modulate the sample end shorter and shorter as it goes faster, like a bouncing ball.

Hve you gone through all the articulation presets and adjusted them to get the ball bouncing?
In a demo video the Akai rep mentioned that there where 100s of these (?)

Some thoughts: copy the sound and make chops with different loopp-points or /loop in release, combine these in to 8 zones across 4 layers (perhaps this can be assigned to the pad corners in some way) so you have 32 versions of looped ball sounds ... adjust and or assign release to the pad touch for some realtime feel ..

This is just thinking about it, don't own a III ..

It be very nice if someone would do a in-depth video on articulations as this is the face of Akais nu-Tron ;)

Not the same I know but i’ve used the q-links to do this manually in the program edit sample window - it’s integral to my performances. Perhaps it could be automated? I’ve never tried… I find it frustrating that the sample layer end points aren’t even an option in the general q-link menu so you have to be in program edit to manipulate it…

Maybe they can add it:

I think you could achieve that not with modulation, but by using the XY FX Beat Repeat effect.

I agree with you, it would be really nice to add this feature. I sample my analog synths and I'm always disappointed.
When I play my synths briefly or for a long time, the sound is not the same.
We need AI prediction that can modify characteristics in real time.
We also need a real automatic tool to loop the end of samples in the auto-sampler.
