So this might be me or a bug? So if i add a filter to a track and move the q-link knob for the filter, set the touch strip to 'Q-link" it works fine on the screen with the filter on. As soon as i go to the main veiw the touch strip controls something random like track tempo. Is it me? i've also found it to act strange if you add more than 1 touch strip control effects to other tracks. They work fine on the page you want to control an aspect of but as soon as you go to arrange or the main screen it breaks the link.

It depends what type of Q-LINK mode you have enabled in Q-LINK EDIT (hold down the QLINK button). The default is 'Screen', which means the Qlinks change on each screen to adapt to the different available controls for that specific screen. So if you are in 'TRACK EDIT > Filt Env' and assign filter cutoff to the touchstrip, you are assigning Q-link 9 to the touchtrip. If you then go to MAIN, Qlink 9 changes to 'current track' in screen mode.

To keep a specific macro assigned to the touchstrip, use a QLINK mode like TRACK. For example, in Q-LINK EDIT > TRACK, assign pad A01 filter cutoff to Qlink 1. Now assign Q-link 1 to the touchstrip. This should keep the touchstrip controlling that filter cutoff (for pad A01). Or use PAD SCENE mode if you want the touchstrip to always control filter cutoff of the currently selected pad.
