Hi All,
I’ve just bagged the Studio Strings and the Keys collection from the Akai/inMusic site.
On my MPCX running 2.15.1, in the plug in list was the strings, Stage piano, Stage EP, and Organ. I bought the Organ previously and thought I’d tried the others as trials before so was expecting to be able to just press ‘Activate’ to get them to work. The Strings and Piano were ok, the Organ already was but the EP started downloading as a 19 day trial as if I’d never used it. Then it failed with Code 200. I put in the license code attached to the Keys purchase but the response was “serial provided cannot be registered by this product.” Activation - Error 403.
If anyone has any suggestions I’d appreciate it, although the stock ‘Electric’ EP is good enough for me.
On another subject, I notice there a thread about Time Signatures. I updated to MPC3.xx a few months ago, and immediately went back purely due to the lack of 4/4 alternatives. I also use my MPC as the most expensive metronome ever bought. I also use it to programme and listen to complicated pieces of music that I’m learning either on the piano, guitar or bass. It’s unbelievable in 2025 that a sequencer can’t do anything except 4/4. Even my ancient Yam QY70 and Roland MC50 can do it.
