Try 3.6, it should be fine. I'm on the same MPC ONE, but am having an issue. If you get the same issue can you update post viewtopic.php?f=48&t=219997

If so, then 2.15 was the latest version 2. Jumping back and fourth between 2.15 and 3.6 is pretty easy.

That's the issue I linked to in the post above. I was really hoping that you wouldn't get this error. You getting suggests this is a bigger issue than my machine.

Please report it to Akai

Whether is really affects anything I don't know.

Seems to me like the new OS takes up almost all the space of the internal drive on the MPC One legacy, and it's just warning us that there's almost no space left.

I've seen a stack of people over time warn to never delete Internal content. I'd be happy to, it directed which content to delete. I haven't looked into it further, but I wonder if there are new demo projects that came with 3 that are on top of 2. If deleting all the demo's get me in the clear, hopefully that would fix it.

Would be good if Akai had a 'Clean Slate Protocol' disc image for us to update the firmware to, if that was a fix.

I'm in the process of setting everything up right now. Also got a new external drive today, so copying all my samples, old projects, etc. Will try to get everything setup so I can just read all my MPC Expansions, samples, and projects from the external. Shouldn't be necessary to have anything on the internal drive really. Hopefully this works, I don't like SD cards - too easy to lose.

I have X v3.6.0, I don’t get the boot up error.
On main screen pull down I checked cpu and it shows 9%.
I also don’t have anything auto-loading.

Menu, Activations, bottom
I have an ssd I installed, I changed my “content download drive” to that.
On MPC One you’d use SD/usb for that I guess.

After update, reset prefs, and I roll thru EACH AND EVERY option in preferences and fine tune things I like and don’t like. IDK if that will help you all or not.
Also, use the USB update from Akai, the wifi update has cause me internal errors many times. USB update has always treated me well.

Is it 1 or 2gb for One, I can’t remember. X has 2gb.

I've been only going back and fourth with USB updates, and was thinking of giving WiFi a try to see if that fixed. Though to be fair I'm just trying to exhaust solutions for my state of mind.
