Directional buttons on live 3 and Drum view in grid mode

If two of the 4 playhead buttons on the live 3 could be used as up and down buttons that would be great. How this would work is use shift and the event locate buttons to go up and down in grid mode/ arranger mode. In grid view when on a drum track when you hit the pad you want to edit if only that pad came up instead of all the drums it would make things very clear. As of now to select a note/notes in the grid view you have to use your fingers which gets clunky on the small hardware screen, but if you had directional buttons to select everything it would be very precise. It would be similar to a mouse on a Daw, pinpoint accuracy, you wouldn't want a mouse on the standalone unit because it defeats the purpose, and for most functions the hardware is much more tactical than a mouse. I think this would make grid view and the arranger much more user friendly in standalone mode.
