Looper not working when Midi Synced

Hi
I have a MPC one synced with a Digitakt2, with DT as Master thru usb
DT2 Must be the master, that cannot be changed
the looper is not working this way. It works alone, when i turn off sync

I have seen it reported as a bug years ago, and still here

I had another looper, working perfectly synced by midi, which i sold because i bought the mpc that has a looper, and what a surprise that it does not work here

is akai going to fix it?

Please share more details of your MIDI configuration.

Meanwhile, RC-505 mk2 behaves just fine as MIDI slave to the MPC One.

The MPC cannot record the Looper or Audio Tracks when it is acting as a MIDI tempo slave. I do not think this is a bug.

Technically, it would be easy to record audio while ignoring BPM fluctuations, and other devices seem to work that way. Whether Akai will choose to implement that behavior is another question.

I share this frustration. And using the MPC as master annoys me a lot since it is not sending out midi clock unless it is playing (contrary to midi org recommendation...)

But I was under the impression that the looper and audio recording works when slaving the MPC using MTC?

Even so. Then the DT2 master way won't work since it doesn't provide MTC.

May I ask why?

I've succesfully slaved my Octatrack to my MPC but using the Octatrack for program changes (in time, other way won't work because of the "1 bar late change" issue/implementation of the Elektron gear)

Yes, it is not a Bug, is a Lack. And is a Shame. I suppose Akai programmers can`t program this, and other brands, do.
I agree BPM fluctuations is not an excuse, it should just record at one tempo received, ignoring fluctuations

I was an early Force user, with lots and lots os bugs and lacks, It made me hate akai and sell it. I thought, years later, i could give akai a second chance, but i am finding other problems like this....
A cheaper pedal can loop midi synced and akai can't?

Because all my composed tracks and midi tracks are in DT2 , she is the master, that's it

The 1barlatechange , i had it and solved with correct settings. same pattern length and midi config

Does any of you know if CLIP RECORDING works when MPC is midi slaved?

Yep. It's simple but frustrating: you can't record any audio when the MPC/Force is slaved to another device.

I think that recording is somehow tied to a fixed internal clock. My assumptions stems from the observation (made by others) that recording also does not work when a sequence has tempo changes.
