Factory kits and demos are on the internal drive which is not accessible from controller mode so it wouldn't be possible to delete them from there. The only way to delete them would be via standalone mode.

Either way, the factory content is available as a download within the inmusic Software Center app, under the 'My Expansions' section, but you'll have to install it onto your SD card rather than the internal drive.

thanks so much for the reply - to be honest im not even sure what the mode is called but it was when connected to the computer - there is a chance the sounds and demos just arent being 'pointed at' but when i turn on the mpc i dont see the demos anymore and when i try to load a kit if i press content>drums it does nothing whereas thatwas where i loaded kits before....

i have tried doing it through inmusic but i dont think im doing something right....the packs i have are mpc key demos and templates...are they the same for one +?

now when i go to these in places>sd card they all seem to be indivdual sounds not kits.

I have bought the bible but i havent got far into it...some bed time reading needed!

There's nothing special about the MPC One content so you are not missing out, you can use whatever is showing in the app. MPC Key demos might use instrument plugins that are not available on your MPC One (e.g. Fabric etc), the projects will still load but you'll get a message that those individual plugin tracks were not loaded, but the drums and keygroups will all load fine.

Akai will probably get back to you eventually with an installer to put the original content back.
