how to highcut a track and and returns affliated to its pad?

Hi everyone ! I have a drum track with pads that I send each independently to three different return channel. However, when I try to apply a high-cut filter to the drum track (e.g., to fade it in during a live set), I notice the sends aren't affected by that filter. So, when I play, I hear Send 1 (a reverb) outputting the pads without any filtering at all. That’s really not cute for my setup. I thought about using submixes, but it's impossible to route a send's output to a sub... So, I'm out of ideas—any suggestions of smart manipulation to get it into a live session? Muting the return during the Highcut rising sequence?

You can set up a macro to turn down or mute when the highcut reaches a certain level.
