Is it possible to assign custom MIDI notes to the pads?

Most MIDI keyboard controllers with drum pads have a feature which allows you to assign specific notes to the pads to create chords...I have an Arturia Keylab and you can assign 5-6 notes to each of the pads.

When using the MPC in MIDI mode, and sending MIDI signal out to an external device, Is it possible to customize the MIDI notes assigned to the specific pad(s)?

Is this possible on an MPC? Has anyone ever done this?

This is in the pad performance page. Use the Chord progression setting. You have to create each chord per pad in a midi sequence then convert the sequence into a chord progression. That’s the hard way. The easy way is to edit a progression file with a text editor. I’m working on a tool that makes this easy and fun because the in the box method is rather clunky.
