KEy 37 Gen 2 deleting Demo Projects from internal memory

Hi, I want to delete the Demo Projects from the internal memory of my new MPC Key 37 Gen 2.
When I locate them in the browser, hold shift and press Delete File the file reamains in the browser.
Why?

Does it make sense? No... but the best advice over the last decade to keep the modern MPCs functioning properly has has been... don't delete things off of internal storage... and use an sd card, usb, or internal drive to save to.

Now, if you're an industrious person and still want to do this... by all means take the time to learn how to do it, but if you get things twisted you're probably going to need Akai's help to get it fixed :/

I don't want to destruct the file/folder structure, but just I don't need the Demo Projects (that take away internal space)...

They should just delete using the method you described. Perhaps Akai have put restrictions on what can be deleted. They've shut off access to the 'MPC Content' disk in controller mode, I wonder if this related.

Anything can happen by mistake, which is why the people in this thread keep warning you about the dangers of F'n around with the internal files. Proceed with caution.

seems that this directory was deliberately locked after a small expansions update been performed at some point. There is a 220mb in size Demo/Synths/Expansions update in each firmware (a bunch of .wav files, .xty presets and other stuff) called... "acvg-nvme-update-image.tar" which being decompressed with "acvg-nvme-update.sh" script.Long story short - the script check the device for ACVC or ACVG product code, sets the version (version_to_be_installed=7) of the update payload check the version of your content and if lower then remount the drive as writeable, update mising/broken pieces of factory content and lock the drive at the end and exits with "trap remount_readonly EXIT".
here are some comments from the script i think I can share:

As you can see, sometimes they doing some updates in the background so they don't want any random Chad or Jerry to f**ck around in the filesystem.

Leave the factory file the hell alone. Don't save shit there either. Most definitely dont delete those unnecessary, but vital to firmware demo, files.
