i allready own an one + and love it. i´m just wondering, if the 16 qlinks would make more fun.

If I had 1000 EUR, I'd go for a used MPC Live 3, gen 2 definitely worth it.

Damn this sucks lol. I’ve been on 2.whatever but use the sample all the time and have been close to updating to MPC3 software for easy tracking out. Guess not now…. :fku:

Then sell it and get a LIVE III, rather than a Gen1 device.

The 16 links are a major step up but it also because each comes with their own little screen that very helpful if you got a lot of stuff like macros going on.

Got one already.

Old Pic.

X replaced with XL.
PC was scrapped and replaced with new joint.
MPC Sample now sits alongside S2400.
MPC Key61 (off screen) left of X.
A few Forum members have been here.

I'd appreciate if all newer MPCs (except maybe the entry level One) had an extra screen for the Q-links even if the machine has only 4 knobs. The fly-out menu sucks and I never remember what each one does.

I love those little screens on the Force to the point I couldn't work any of the 4 knob MPCs & even X with its 4x4 knob layout wasn't all that appealing like horizontal 16 knobs on XL which is designed like the Force but with 2x the knobs. I used a lot of macros so having more than 4 with screens is a must. Also I don't like how the 4 knobs are vertical.

Dang... never knew they were doing that, even in controller mode. So, old MPCs eventually gonna be totally worthless, unusable & trash can material; or still usable in older standalone FWs or older controller-mode OS FWs?
