I don't really know what to check here. Akai Network is up and finds my XL, Live has the XL configured as a control surface in Live. All Akai midi in/out controls (track, sync, aso) in live are switched on. Notebook and XL are on the same Wifi (including wifi band as I only have a 5GHz wifi) or both with wifi off are on the same switch even in the same network (which I prefer for best latency). Ableton Sync is working but nonetheless the live control surface is sometimes working and sometimes it's just saying that it's waiting of Ableton Live to start.
Does someone else have the issues that this mode is flakey? Or you have any additional tips how to get the Live control surface on the MPC to work reliably? If it works it works and it's stable though and without changing anything it sometimes does or does not. MPC software finds the MPC reliably for controller mode. So at least it should not be a networking/Akai Network issue.
