Equing / adjusting treble and bass in MPC sample drum kit

Just purchased an MPC pro studio drum sample kit and need to equalize the bass drum and snare. How do you accomplish this in an Akai mpc key 37 standalone?

To EQ individual components of a kit, you can insert an EQ plugin to the relevant pad such as AIR Para EQ or AIR Channel Strip.. This can be done via MENU > PAD MIXER, or using the XL channel strips in MAIN. In the pro studio kit to achieve 12 velocities I've used multiple pads linked via simultaneous play, so you will need to apply the EQ individually to all linked pads, plus there are multiple snare articulations so this would require a lot of individual EQ inserts. It would be more CPU efficient to insert an EQ across the entire kit and EQ everything this way, targeting specific frequency bands with assistance of the 'Q' parameter.
