First of all i have to admit i am an Akai Newbee. I just couldn´t resist on purchasing the force because of its looks and its claim of standalone music production.

I just installed a 2 TB SSD into the force and copied my files on it. But if it comes to browsing i am experiencing two problems:

1. If i put a text in the search function it only search in the actual folder and not in any subfolders. Is that correct? Can i change that behaviour?

2. All my Midifiles with the extension .mid do not appear in the browser. Can the Force not recognize them. I would love to use those.

Thank You
Alexis

Thank you, i tried all Filter Options. Somehow the Force does not show me any files.

I found this post:
viewtopic.php?f=49&t=189807

So its not possible which is actually a big issue for me as i saved a lot of my work as .mid.
There is a tool like http://www.fentonia.com/catnip/midianmpc/index.html but what i need is a batch converter which converts 1000+ of .mid-files into .mpcpattern files. I don´t know if such thing exists somewhere.

Strange the other/older AKAI products can load Midi-Files and the Force can´t. An Update concerning this issue would be great.

Yes, welcome to the crappy browser on the MPCs and the Force. They promised us a complete overhaul of the browser in 2.0 and all we got was the search 'filter' which just filters the display of files inside a specified folder.
