Arrangement question

What’s the easiest way to move or export an arrangement to a clip view scene?

Never even tried to do that before. Surprisingly, trying to copy from arrangement says "Cannot copy from arrangement". Why is that?

Maybe the lesson to be learned is: don't use the arrangement, except as a final mixdown stage helper.

Copy & paste the Arranger seq data track by track into their own clip. I wish there was a "Convert Arranger Track to Clip" feature but...that what the future is for I guess.

Yea that’s what I thought, you can save all clips then load the obvious (because of file size) File back into each clip.
Yep it needs convert arranger to scene , similar to the Mpc’s convert song to sequence.

I don't think Akai intended for us to use the Arranger in the way you want & I don't use it that way. I use the clips to make "pre-arrangements" then record to the Arranger afterwards, then bounds that to audio. Then, if you want you can clear the Arranger & use the clips to make a different arrangement or the keep it the same but have different live automation stuff going on - LOVE the crossfader!

If you check "Show arrangement in clip matrix", the arrangement tracks look like a scene with clips, and you can try to COPY + tap the pads or the whole scene, but it just won't let you do that, it says "Cannot copy from arrangement". I can understand how that kind of bouncing from arrangement back to clips could be useful.
