Akai force + Roland TR-8s

Hello everyone need some help with sync between force and Tr 8s.
Want to configure tr8s to stand and stop when i launch my clips on force. I have them connected via midi out from force to midi in on tr8s but i cant seem to work. Can someone give me exact settings i need to put on both devices?? Thanks in advance!

Did you read manual for both & change each device setting base on that?

Roland's TR8S works the exact same way as the TR8 does (which I used to have). Assuming you have it hooked up via MIDI (whether it be by 5-pin DIN or USB-MIDI), I found the easiest way to to sync with Force was to just send MIDI clock. Obviously have your TR8S assigned to a MIDI channel and create an external MIDI track for it if you want to control that specific instrument, but just sending MIDI clock to it should sync its onboard step sequencer (for start/stop commands). Encourage you to read up on the manual under "MIDI / Sync" for Force, and refer to your TR8S manual for accepting such commands.
