Sorry, didn't mean that. I'm sure it can keep playing till hell freezes over (assuming it doesn't crash), the problem is the user interface. That's why I said video. How do you actually work with an arrangement that long, how do you navigate and edit the thing. How do you
arrange. (disregarding the fact that there is no building block container element for placing stuff in blocks you'd arrange)

I just use the arranger as an event recorder, because that is effectively what it is. If I flub it, I just re-record. It's very good at this, so I have no complaints other than wishing there were a more flexible arranger (sunvox springs to mind as an excellent example).

Yes! It's a recorder. It's not an arranger.

This year I used it for a project in a "dogma" sense. When I had to change the arrangement, it was much easier to re-record the whole performance than to try and move things around and arrange them in a new way.

It's not an arranger. It's a dumb recorder. Fostex multitrack tape machine for MIDI and stuff.

Given that I'm very used to a multitracking workflow, and still appreciate the hell out of my Tascam DP-32SD, I can't say that I have any problem with the arranger being an event recorder. It works just fine in that model. I would like a real arranger, of course, but I can make this work just fine.

By the way, there's one thing for which using the arranger is currently the only way: making a project preview mp3. As far as I know. It would be really nice to automatically record and save a few seconds of the main outputs as a project preview.

FYI in the Arranger window there is a little oval gray tab with an arrow pointing up or down. If you drag it up you can edit Arranger tracks with all the clip editor tools. Took me a while before I found that. But from there you copy an whole Arranger track & paste it in a clip. Wish they an covert to clip feature
