Overdub on Audio Track

1. Is there an option to set recording to overdub on an audio track like there is on an drum track?
2. Is there a way to shut off the overdubbing on a drum track?
3. Why should there be a difference between a drum track to an audio track when it comes to over dubbing?

Drum tracks contain MIDI data, not audio. The sound coming from your drum track comes from WAV samples assigned to the drum pads.

Overdubbing MIDI tracks means, the Force adds the incoming recorded MIDI events to the track, between existing events.

Audio tracks contain actual audio data. There are no "events" in audio, it's PCM data, 44100 samples per second.

There's no overdubbing for audio tracks, there's only recording. Or at least I haven't found a way to overdub.

If it was possible to overdub, and particularly, if MIXING overdubbing was possible, maybe with adjustable decay, and if it could be controlled with a foot pedal, the Force would be a super powerful live looping device. But it isn't, and it isn't.
