Akai Force Forum: Everything relating to the Akai Force, the new 64 pad, clip-based standalone sampler/groovebox from Akai. While not an MPC, it shares many similar software features to the MPC X/MPC Live including the same underlying code-base.

I'm thinking of getting a Force, and I downloaded the manual but don't see any indication of how many clips you can have per track. Any video I watched only ever had 8, and I have not seen any info on 'scrolling' down to show more clips.

Is it limited to just 8 clips per track?

You can have as many scenes as u want, the limit is the memory.
I believe akai’s internal engine runs 32-bit WAV files, so that memory will disappears fast unless u are using the same audio files over & over again.

See other posts on memory limits in this forum & the MPC X FORUM. If u want to DJ long sets, you will need more than 1 project or another device to compliment your force.
