I don't know if my unit is bad but I have to use plenty of force to active the pads. It is a new unit and it is so bad that I am thinking about returning it. But I have no way to compare if its a faulty unit or not.

I have put the Pad Threshold at 1 -Less Force and Pad sensitivity at 16 - Most. Pad curve is A. Even with this setting I can gently tap on the pad with absolutely no sound. It is driving me crazy. Does anyone else face the same issue?

IMO Akai pads are generally nowhere near as sensitive as other pad units, such as Maschine (which some consider overly sensitive).

I agree, it's possible to lightly tap the Force pads and get zero response. It's something you will adapt to quite quickly though, you just need to play them a bit harder. BTW I also found that many of the library kits seem to have particularly poor velocity sensitivity response, I never investigated why, probably due to the velocity > amp setting in TRACK EDIT > LFO Mod. But when I , for example, load some of my own kits I found the Force's sensitivity was fine. Try loading my free Dirty Drummer kit, see if that improves things. https://www.mpc-samples.com/product.php ... expansion/
