Howdy all!
Just got my Force and I can get it to pass MIDI in from an external keyboard out to an External Synth and I can get the external Synth audio to show up but I'm having trouble getting the Audio track to record while playing the MIDI track.

Track 4 - MIDI
Track 5 - Audio
I have tried multi-arm recording but and get two clips in Matrix view (4 and 5) to record at the same time.

I watched a few videos where this was done prior to .5 and the mixer I/O section has changed.

is it possible to record the incoming audio on Track 5 while playing (and either recording or not recording the) MIDI on track 4?

I'm an akai NEWB
thanks!

OK,
I figured this out.
the Audio on my inputs were super low, despite my mixer being loud enough for me to hear fine.
I switched them to Instrument from line (oops) and turned up the gain

It's still a bit wonky that you can ht record and select "Record to clip" but it doesn't actually "record to clip" that I can see, however if I arm the MIDI track and the Audio Track and hit record and double tap the pad of a blank clip in the armed track it will record.

I also think the 2 bar default size was throwing me off as I suspect that the "Record" graphic on the clip that doesn't move made me think it hadn't started yet, then by time I started playing, 2 bars at 128 bpm had gone by and it started looping the blank clip.
