Akai Force Forum: Everything relating to the Akai Force, the new 64 pad, clip-based standalone sampler/groovebox from Akai. While not an MPC, it shares many similar software features to the MPC X/MPC Live including the same underlying code-base.
How do I use a MIDI controller to play the Akai Force synths??
It should be simple, but it's evading me.
I've tried it with two different keyboards using USB and MIDI and not seeing any kind of response from the Force.

Should be a case of plug and play.
What midi keyboards are you trying?
Are you using midi or midi over USB?
If you're using the former, ae you using the correct polarity mini jack cables?
If the latter, have you checked the USB cable is working OK?
Checked all your midi settings to make sure there's not something switch off by accident?
I have a Keith McMillen K-Board which I just stick in the usb port and it's all ready to go.
