High impedance headphones

Hello, I am waiting for the used Force I just bought! Only two days left... I hope to be able to take it to territories where the hand of man has never set foot...

In the meantime, can someone tell me if the headphone output is able to accept 250 or 600 ohms headphones with a good result and a sufficient level? I want to buy a Beyerdynamics DT-880 which has several versions, the higher impedances are supposed to be better quality.

I don't want to use an external headphone pre-amp because as Lao tzu said:

The less distortion you add the better ya' mix

Hi, i use the Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO 80 Ohm (Studio), they Sounds realy good. I think the 250 Ohm are a little better for Mixing, but a little quiter....

I too have some DT-770 Pros, but they're 250 Ohm. I've just turned the headphone volume up on my Force with one of my multitracks and it's actually pretty loud at full volume in a quiet room. They're closed back too, unlike the 880/990s so no bleed if there's someone else around but less 'space'.
A few months ago I was using some 24 Ohm headphones and accidentally blasted my ears at full volume! Fkin painful to say the least, and after 2 weeks of earache I'm back to normal..ish. Just thought I'd mention it as I've always taken care of my ears (apart from clubs, gigs etc years ago) but slipped up and am so glad I still have my hearing. The 250 Ohm 700s almost guarantee that this won't happen again, which might be worth considering. I might use them for live though, with an extra headphone amp. I've also got some earplugs that allow conversations in loud environments whilst protecting from other frequencies.
