You could, but I would like to put in a word for a cheaper, highly effective package that has the benefit that it sits well on simple mic stands, for placement wherever convenient: iLoud MicroMonitors.

They sound way better than they have any right to, for both price and size, replicate well down to the frequency where their woofer horns resonate (around 50Hz), and (more importantly for monitoring in my view) behave well down the volume scale as well as up it. This is valuable for your ears as well as interpersonal relationships.

Now, mind I'm not saying that what you're proposing is bad. I'm just saying you could get away with more for less.

If you're looking for something that you could also use as a portable PA system for playing out, I've had good luck with my portable JBL unit.

Thanks, I'll look into the portable route.

I was reading I can't use my cerwin vegas because its 8ohm. All the mobile amps are only up to 4ohm.

They should certainly work.

The real question, as always, is how they sound in your space. I'm assuming you don't have a tuned studio, so it will come down to managing the idiosyncracies of your space.

Hopefully they will work okay, my room is 20ft by 12ft. I will check them out this Thursday.
