Akai Force Forum: Everything relating to the Akai Force, the new 64 pad, clip-based standalone sampler/groovebox from Akai. While not an MPC, it shares many similar software features to the MPC X/MPC Live including the same underlying code-base.

I like your ideas, mrmarbury.

- I would be OK with differentiating button feel
- layout changes are fine, sure
- always more q-links! As long as they still have the OLED scribblestrips
- I think that a tilting base for the whole device would also be a good option
- I still suspect that the audio track limitation is an I/O limitation, so a faster bus would be necessary
- I agree with more RAM options
- I'm OK with using an external interface. I see the point; more is nicer but as long as a good, high speed, class compliant external option is OK it's not a very big deal to me
- I don't hook mine up to computers, so while I'm not arguing, the audio interface feature makes no difference to me
- Improved audio interface support is always good (but I suspect that adding a buffer option is all that it would take)
- I don't use Ableton, so I don't care about this at all. In fact, if it makes the device more expensive for everybody, I think that this would be a bad idea for everybody except Ableton users, who should probably buy a Push instead.
