Multiple Outputs from Akai Force into Ableton

Howdo everyone?

So, I use my Akai Force alongside Ableton to make beats and I was wondering/hoping if anyone knew how to output the kits in the Force across multiple channels inside of Ableton- so I can have the kick on one channel, hi-hats on another etc. At the moment they are all on one channel as I use External Instrument inside of Ableton to hear what I'm doing. Any tips would be very much appreciated!

Force does not currently output unlimited separate channels into Ableton Live unfortunately. It will operate as an audio interface when in Computer Mode, however; it only supports 2-channel stereo out + 2 additional channels. You need to select Force as your audio interface in Ableton Live in order for it to work, both input and output. It'll show up as a 2/0 input and a 0/4 output interface in Live.

See...I didn't even know that Force can act as a sound card

It would be completely awesome if in one of their updates they update the firmware so that say 8 SUB channels in Force are virtually revealed in Ableton or any other DAW - when USB is plugged in computer and WITHOUT "Computer" mode.

Say something like "AKAI Force ASIO" mode.

We could then use Force without an external USB soundcard to just work as ever but then to send audio from 8 SUB channels into our DAW this way - It would make much more sense and expand usability greatly.

From what I can see, currently the way to get multi-channel audio between Force and a DAW is to use two Behringer UMC1820 USB audio interfaces with outputs and inputs connected. One UMC1820 for the Force and another for the DAW machine. This will cost a little over 500 moneys at todays prices. You could use other interfaces for the DAW, but this is the cheapest working option.
