Is there anyway to recover deleted projects?

I was cleaning up some junk in my file system, but I just deleted 8 months of work in a single live set by mistake. Please help!

Did you save on the internal HD?

I moved everything over to an external ssd a couple of months ago. I haven't done anything since I deleted it a couple of weeks ago, just turned it on tonight and went into shock.

There are undelete tools out there that may be able to get [some of] the files back. If you just search for "NTFS Undelete", you'll get something like this:

Same thing for other file systems.

The key is not to touch that drive anymore since any further write activity will reduce the likelihood of recovery.

Thanks Timo, I'll take a look. I installed linux on my other computer last night, there are some tools I can use on that to get the files back. Haven't touched the drive since, I made a couple of changes to a different saved file in that session but the 500gb SSD is pretty much empty so I'll see how I go.

Sorry for reviving this thread. I'm kind of in the same situation and wanted to ask what recovery tools you guys used that worked well.

SalvageData worked very well for me. Managed to recover 90% of the lost data once.
