Akai Force Forum: Everything relating to the Akai Force, the new 64 pad, clip-based standalone sampler/groovebox from Akai. While not an MPC, it shares many similar software features to the MPC X/MPC Live including the same underlying code-base.

Sounds really nice!

Did you use the Force as an effects layer for the MS-1?

It can be steppy, but the Force makes it convenient to modulate effect parameters.

I did. I routed the audio into the Force, and added delay. It inspired me to build out an FX grid full of momentary on/off switches, similar to Tim Exile's "The Finger". I'll share the results when I get it sorted.

Yeah, there are all sorts of good tricks. The obvious are things like filter sweeps, but you can also do fun things with modulating wet/dry ratios on delays, or freezing reverbs or the granulator.

Contact toggles on the Q-links are very good for performance, since you're that way inclined.
