Quick way to switch pages in Lanes Mode? (STEP SEQ)

Not sure if this is mentioned, or if this is implemented:

In Lanes Mode, is there a simple single button shortcut to switch fields?

Now its hold STEP SEQ -> choose Pad

Is there a way to link a knob or macro to this?

now we are on this STEP SEQ subject: holding notes and press 2nd note for note lenght would also be awesome

i owned a Synthstrom and this functionality is verrrrrry creative
(sold the Synthstrom for the Akai Force)

Would love auto follow. Don’t know a faster way sadly.

+1 vote on a follow mode for the step sequencer both in normal and lanes mode. I have the same issue with my TR8s it also doesn't have a follow mode through its 8 pages of variations. My Keystep Pros have it and it is a great feature.

+1 vote on holding note and hitting following pads to extend note length.

+1 vote on having the macro knobs to be touched and move to that page.

All are much needed improvements in the UI for the step sequencer. If Akai would only listen to its users on these little things the Force would be so much better.

Yeah, the step sequencer (as well as main clip sequencer) could really use some polishing. I do not understand why knobs are not used for navigating step seq pages and adjusting zoom level. The way it works on the Deluge (ie. knobs) is way faster and much more convenient.

In the main clip edit piano roll the scroll knob sensitivity is way too slow depending on zoom level and trying to hit the right spot with finger for pasting is painful (playback cursor position). Sometimes the main knob can be used to navigate, but not always. Just let me use the awesome pots. Preferably for selecting notes too! Now that I mentioned selected notes, they are barely visually different from non-selected ones. The pains of being a software dev ...

Agreed. The functionality of the step sequencer is really good, you can do so much with it and there are a lot of different options to use it compared to the step sequencers of my other gear, but thee UI of it really needs attention. Like so many things on the Force, it is so close to being so good.

I also have the same issues regarding navigating the piano roll area including seeing the selected notes with such a small white outline. Would be better if selected notes just turned a different color like blue or something to make them stand out more.
